  • Philip Burton
    DPM

    Dr. Burton joined Council Bluffs Foot & Ankle Care in 2021.  He received his undergraduate degree from Baylor University in 2014. He studied podiatry at Des Moines University and received his doctorate of podiatric medicine in 2018. He then performed a three year surgical residency at UnityPoint - Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge, Iowa where he trained in reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle while treating a wide variety of foot and ankle conditions.

  • Nathan Shumway
    DPM

    Dr. Shumway joined Council Bluffs Foot & Ankle Care in 2019.  He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Utah in 2012. He studied podiatry at Des Moines University and received his doctorate of podiatric medicine in 2016. Dr. Shumway then performed a three year surgical residency at the Veterans Affairs Eastern Colorado Healthcare System where he trained in reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle while treating a wide variety of foot and ankle conditions.

  • Patrick Barnes

    Dr. Barnes joined Council Bluffs Foot & Ankle Care in 1996.  Originally from Yutan, Nebraska, he received his undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1990. Dr. Barnes studied podiatry at Des Moines University and received his doctorate of podiatric medicine in 1994.  He went on to perform a one-year podiatric orthopedic residency at the VA medical center in Togus, Maine and a one-year surgical fellowship in Worthington, Minnesota.  In his free time, Dr. Barnes enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, biking and kayaking.
